A Walk for Life workshop
Workshop Guided by: Brenda Sorkin, GCFP
Time: 10 am - 1 pm
Have you taken a good walk lately? Do you fed that kinesthetic part of yourself that frees your shoulders, and supports a natural uprightness and full breath? You can bring this to your walk in a way that balances through your whole body.
Drawing from the Feldenkrais based work of Ruthy Alon’s Movement Intelligence program "Walk for Life" we will pay attention to all of your movement relationships and how they work together. There will be processes on the floor, sitting and standing. We will then find support for our natural walk with walking poles.
If you do not have walking poles with straps let me know. You can purchase inexpensive ones at Walmart in the sports department (trekking poles) for around $20.
